Things are looking up

So I'm kind of out of my funk, now that I'm kind of on my ups again. Unfortunately I got kind of sick, not sure why. I started to get a headache when I was dying my hair (post about that to come); that headache recurred again once the night turned into day, and I NEVER get headaches when I'm sick. Not to mention I unfortunately broke my 3-year streak of not being sick. I'm kind of floating on this sort-of-sick-not-sick-enough-to-stay-home sickness; headache and fever the first day, coughy and wheezy following. I'm much better this morning, and I'm convinced it's due to a night of sleeping on a Tempurpedic mattress :) Good rest, thank you much! I did also have a HUGE loss of appetite, so maybe some fat loss can be a good thing that comes out of this sickness. A bad thing is that Sbux made bank on me this week, as I got hooked on their Tazo Chai tea (no thanks to you, eo), but since I wasn't hungry, like, ever, I saved money on lunchers.

Speaking of lunchie, I saw PDR this week :) He is still the upbeat positive man who was at TB. I forgot how much I missed having him around, but I know he is on bigger and better endeavors.

And THAT is a good transition into my own goals! Back to my "up" I opened this post with. Blah, when I'm down, I'm down, when I'm starting to get up I want to do a billion things at once. I want to learn how to airbrush (just seems cool, never done it before); I want to bake more and get more into cake decorating again (I lost the urge once I found out bakers don't really make any money :( ) which is kind of related to my wanting to airbrush simply because a lot of cake decorators airbrush their designs; I want to start a business where I can make more money while living at home and working at BIH; I want to continue to get Sasha more out there (networking networking networking! anyone know any club promoters / managers?); I want to start up my cookie blog again and find my way of monetizing that. Without going into too much detail, all of this is going to take some time and planning, but I hope I can manage.

In other news, Dennis is back, and I'm really happy about that. He'll be here for a couple of weeks. Made 2 new friends this week, whch I'm also really happy about. Ma is coming home for the summer on Monday, so it'll be the four of us at home again.

As I get older I find myself having more and more responsibilities but I suppose that is a good thing. I don't mind helping out. In fact I am proud to say I can and do. I'm sad that it seems that a gloom has taken over around me; my friends seem more down than usual, and on FB there are some unhappy statuses. I hope that lifts soon and that we can all be happy again :)

Gotta get primped for Dennis. I want to tan.. beach maybe.

New blog!

Ok, let's try this again?

New start!

I went to Sevilla last night, it was Lynn's bday. I had a rockin' time!! Thanks Lynn :) Met Jelly, she's supercool. Q was also out there to support, he's so tight. There was a guy who had a mohawk that was red, looked like Tommy Trojan. Daniel D (???) performed, he sang a song by Justin Timberlake. I couldn't tell if he was Asian or one of those Mexicans who look Asian, but he had a pretty good voice and I actually was thinking he was lip-syncing to JT (but he wasn't).

Today at work a company's PR agency (not going to say which company... just gonna say it's not Procter & Gamble) tried to deliver to us 140 cases of soap. The delivery guy in his 60-foot truck asked us if we had a forklift. Miscommunication!!!!! The PR company was supposed to communicate to the brand that we needed 140 BARS of soap, not CASES. Not sure what the person on the PR side said to the brand's side that made the brand think cases, but it was sure as hell funny. That much soap weighs more than my car, I found out.

Got a fun-filled weekend ahead of me, surrounded by good people and good turtles. Can't wait to recap with my new camera!!!!
